Start with published pages, media, URLs, forms and the business processes behind the plugins. Separate useful functionality from unused themes, demo content and old dependencies.
A clean rebuild
Bring across reviewed content and suitable media. Build the new site from a clean codebase, with a modern responsive design and an editable EmDash admin.
Essential features, rebuilt appropriately
Forms, private enquiry handling and other agreed functionality are implemented for the new stack. WordPress plugins do not automatically work in EmDash. Memberships, bookings, payments and external integrations need individual assessment.
Redirects and search foundations
Review the existing URL structure, page titles, descriptions, canonicals and indexing rules. Map changed URLs before cutover. Search rankings cannot be guaranteed.
A reviewed cutover
Check the new site on an isolated preview, verify the important journeys and preserve a recovery path before switching the domain.
